@retrosponge @Graham_LRR I've definitely gotten less judgy about people putting them up early, claw whatever happiness you can out of life. Similarly, a couple years ago we had a winter where literally nothing could go right so we left everything up until March 😂

@Graham_LRR I joke about it, but people who put up decorations in November (pre-US Thanksgiving) then take them all down on Boxing Day or the day after genuinely confuse me. Like, y'all, there's eleven more days. There's a song about it and everything.

@ldottxt I actually felt terrible about it at the time. I'd already talked to several friends about "when you know, you know" and how dating has changed so much, and passive-aggressive concern... and he'd been there for, what, two weeks? and now is uprooting his entire life. I had to throw one "I trust your judgement very much, but maybe walk me through this one?" and he filled in the gaps and logically detailed how he's absolutely bananas for you (and you for him)
