I'm a somewhat funny bipolar autistic agender antizionist Jew who has colorful hair, fibromyalgia, a bunch of tattoos, and OCD- what more could you possibly want?

I have a degree in queer research/education/history and am a major sociology nerd. I mostly post about queerness, neurodivergency, disability/mental illness, and my wonderful little family (my absurdly sweet husband, silly pups Levi + Noah, and perfectly bitchy cat Tilly).

Boosts are great, but please don't repost my posts elsewhere

"visible aging need not be stigmatized" and "cosmetic surgery need not be stigmatized" are two things that can and should coexist

edit that the book already came out and is for sale, wrote this while tired

the fact that a lot of stuff on it has been scrubbed is pretty telling. how many others featured never gave consent etc. but i had seen a lot of people posting things about it positively, as representation in a book like this is really needed. just not like this. so made this thread in case

Chapman had been blocked by Perryman for two years while apparently this book was in the works, and also Chapman doesn't even identify as transmasc and feels misrepresented by being included in the book and was never spoken to by Perryman about their reasons for having a mastectomy in the first place

psa not to buy the new book TOPS by Lindsay Perryman, the person featured on the cover, Tomorrow Blake Chapman, came forward to say that they(? can't find pronouns online) never gave consent to be in the book and are featured in it five times

some of the stuff on the book has now been taken down and clicking the link from Perryman's website now goes to nowhere...

TRANS MASCS & MEN: I want to start a “Buy a trans guy a pizza day” to parallel the “buy a trans girl a pizza day.” What date do you think would be a good date for that?

Similar to how the latter helps us celebrate Mira Bellwether, it would be lovely to pick a day that lets us celebrate a trans man or trans masc who has been important to the community, but is maybe underrecognized.

#TransMen #TransMan #TransMasc

extremely mad because my relative in American prison has let me know that from now on, instead of being charged once per book or per song and having the files added permanently to his account, he's going to ALSO be charged by the minute to read or listen to music on the tablets that are the only things they're allowed to use.

reminder that paying prisoners (vastly) less than minimum wage is legal in the US because they're defined as an exception to anti-slavery laws.
