I do research on societal determinants of health, including income inequality, social capital, social spending and mobility, and paid leave policies.

Trying things out here.

As an #introduction, I’m an assistant professor at Columbia University’s Epidemiology Dept. I trained in engineering, compute science, and infectious disease modeling. Now working in #PublicHealth, I use modeling methods in combination with health data to help understand mechanisms governing disease systems and devise prevention/intervention strategies. I study infectious disease transmission (#COVID19, #influenza, #measles, #Ebola) & early-onset #cancer.
