Good news out of Oregon. Governor Kate Brown is pardoning people who were convicted of simple marijuana possession prior to it being legalized in 2014. She is also forgiving $14 million in fines.

"In Oregon, the pardon will remove 47,144 convictions for possession of a small amount of marijuana from individual records. Brown noted that removing these criminal records eliminates barriers for employment, housing and educational opportunities."

In the 1990s the internet artists had the 7-11 mailing list. It’s name and website was a copyright violation, the vast majority of the content would never make it through a spam filter today, there was barely any comprehensible writing, it was moderated by an imaginary woman named Keiko Suzuki, and I had a project that sent school kid’s questions for Abe Lincoln direct to the list.
