In the 1990s the internet artists had the 7-11 mailing list. It’s name and website was a copyright violation, the vast majority of the content would never make it through a spam filter today, there was barely any comprehensible writing, it was moderated by an imaginary woman named Keiko Suzuki, and I had a project that sent school kid’s questions for Abe Lincoln direct to the list. It was chaos that could not survive on today’s internet, a spirit that’s missing. #netart #90s
@CyberneticForests Try PGP? its encrypted so you can send anything and spam filters can do nothing about it. I use DeltaChat which is a "email" client that automagicly uses PGP and presents the messages as a chat app (it looks like telegram)!
