@colapunk Be careful asking for such a feature. Lisa Marie Maginnis (@L_isamarie) asked if they would accept a PR to implement the feature. We even demonstrated that the feature basically already exists in a rather toxic form. However Eugen Rochko took such offense to the idea, and contributions to a #FOSS project in general that LMM was permanently suspended over talking about the implementation of this very basic feature.

There is a reason this 7 year old platform has no real user retention.

@tasket Careful you are discussing ideas and interest in features you want for this platform. Contributing or encouraging contribution to this platform in any way, shape or form is an offense worthy of a permanent suspension

I know this is weird for a #FOSS project but the CEO Eugen Rochko has a very unique counter culture perspective when it comes to #FreeSoftware

@tasket @Gargron He seems uninterested in discussion about the platform or his decisions. We would simply have to wait for the appeal, but I have never heard of any appeal ever being even considered in 7 years of this platform.

I think he is struggling with the realization and acceptance that being a twitter replacement means he can't run it like his private group chat around his cult of personality.

I'm unsure he will tolerate such a change.
