Just a 30something Canadian dude from #VancouverIsland who's into #RetroComputing (mainly old #Apple / #Mac stuff), #Programming, and general #Technology enthusiast. Also love to #Travel!

I wrote a Mastodon client for vintage Mac computers, #Macstodon, which you can get from here: https://github.com/smallsco/macstodon

Occasionally I’ll post about #Anime and #Gaming, especially #ZenlessZoneZero and #HonkaiStarRail.

I boost a lot. Boosts are not endorsements.

IMO: It just goes to show how needed this was and how many people were putting off or simply not getting dental work done because of the cost.

Dental Care should be included in our Public Healthcare system. No separate system.. just part of healthcare.
Period.

Half of requests for complex dental work are being rejected under national insurance plan | CBC News

The Canadian Dental Care Plan requires extra paperwork for complex procedures like crowns or dentures. Providers say the process has been overly complicated and slow.

Today, in “signs it’s time to put down your old computer for the day and go to bed”:

Going to insert my SD card back into my Mac SE’s BlueSCSI through the expansion slot hole (this one: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1232747165/bluescsi-bracket-for-macintosh-se-se30) after transferring some images.

Somehow I manage to insert it _above_ the actual SD slot and drop it inside the case. And now it’s midnight and I really don’t want to take the SE apart again 😅

The Pig and her poster have been reunited. MissPiggy ran XENIX-11 at Microsoft from 1979 to 1987. These days, misspiggy runs Version 7 UNIX from which XENIX was derived and its disks are virtualized so they can run under simulation and the real hardware.

Please support our preservation efforts at https://icm.museum

We have a partial backup of MissPiggy and one day hope to run XENIX-11 on it once again.

@MisterMoo @thomasfuchs This probably is, or should be if it isn't, an Onion Headline.
