I was needing a heatmap for my #POTA hunting app so I went looking on github. Found a C-based one that would work well with Vala and found this one from ten years ago:

It's amazing. This is why I love C: because most of the time, it works every time.
My Parks on the Air hunting app Artemis was just released with a bunch of bugfixes and with Windows support. I don't have any Windows machines in my life so building the project on VirtualBox was a lot of trial and error with getting the build going under msys32, but its here!
Windows using hams please check it out! I welcome any feedback you have and of course any bug reports.
