The #PlayStationShowcase was pretty neat. Since its first reveal I've been excited to play Plucky Squire and it was the highlight of the show this time as well.

Also excited to play through the Metal Gear Solid games again. While MGS3 is a fantastic game and it's scope is mind-boggling for a PS2 game, MGS2 is one of the greatest games of all time. MGS3 remake is cool too, I guess.

All in all a pretty solid end of the year for gaming. I may get Spider-Man and Alan Wake down the line as well.

Hopefully this is the final wake up call for Western companies to stop operating in Russia. Better late than never. Peskov already said that they're considering seizing assets of other companies in addition to Fortum and Uniper. On the one hand, yes it'd be nice to do an updated Polybius on PSVR2.

On the other hand... is everyone who already bought it on PSVR1 going to expect to get the PSVR2 version as a free upgrade?

A little graphics achivement I’m giddy about: fog now ”gathers” at lowlands and coasts.

Managed to make it piggyback on the vertex shader’s shadow raymarcher, so there’s almost no additional performance cost. #gamedev

I know this is an extremely unpopular opinion, but St. Anger gets better with age and the album wouldn’t have gotten the shit it got if it wasn’t by Metallica and if the snare sound wasn’t so offensive.

The album has the grooviest Metallica riffs. The biggest offence (in addition to the snare sound) is that the songs are too long for the content, but that has been Metallica’s problem since Ride the Lightning.
