On the one hand, yes it'd be nice to do an updated Polybius on PSVR2.
On the other hand... is everyone who already bought it on PSVR1 going to expect to get the PSVR2 version as a free upgrade?

@llamasoft_ox unless Sony is providing a subsidy to do the port I don't think you have an obligation to do so.
If it were financially viable, a discounted upgrade would be nice but if it's not going to pay for your time, I'm sure people will buy it again.
@llamasoft_ox my primary operating principle is, as soon as I find out about a new llamasoft release for a thing I have, buy it immediately
If itβs for a thing I donβt, strongly consider buying that thing and then the llamasoft game immediately afterwards
@llamasoft_ox I think people would always like a free upgrade to the next generation, it builds a lot of good will from the community. That's especially useful when you launch your next game, people remember and they tell other people. But it's not expected.
For example the update to Rez is Β£10. I will buy it, I loved that game. I would for Polyibus too. If Polyibus used eye tracking or a different game mode, I'd probably buy it all over again.
@llamasoft_ox Some games that have free upgrade have paid for extra parts. Like Synth Riders has many song packs. Gives people an option to show support and but extra bits if they love the thing. Making extra content is an option. I don't know if that would be your cup of tea though.
I loved the music on Polyibus, wherever that came from I would love some more!
@gilesgoat @llamasoft_ox ha. I've gotten out of many complex builds by pointing out there'd be license costs involved!
The problem with clients who think it's easy to just glue together existing mechanics, is that when you try to explain the difficulty and that it'll take x hours, at your hourly rate, they then switch to thinking you must be crap and that somebody else would do it easily. So you've to instead humour them and carefully steer the project in a more realistic direction.
