it looks like xorg||cinnamon and vsync are not very friendly to multi orientation displays. Disgaea 2 (linux native) keeps flickering while in full screen mode

Saturday afternoon's project complete. My Zenfone Max Pro M1 is old enough not to be daily driver, but good enough for misc apps / gaming.
• Unlocked bootloader
• Flashed ARROW OS
• Now runs android 12 instead of 9
• Screen mirroring done with scrcpy
• Saving guest machine's resources because there is no need to run VM via Droid Studio or QEMU
• Good enough for point and click gaming
