I'm a technophile jack of all trades. I love board games and ttrpgs. I consider Canada, Tanzania, and Kenya to be home, I've managed media production, worked in technology, food service, operations, and education. I love lots of music, but especially jazz and gospel, think everyone should be multilingual, and want to write something meaningful as a fantasy novel. I constantly create, can't stop innovating, and read as much as I can.

Women's clothes need pockets because...Pockets!

#ttrpg #worldbuiding tip:

Restless souls often end up in this state because they transgressed against social norms. For example, in German folklore those who moved field boundary stones ended up as tormented ghosts extremely often.

Thus, you can use ghosts to emphasize the social norms of your fictional society. What transgressions are considered to be especially heinous by the culture you have developed?

@Nenad I'm definitely a better GM than player. I love world building, and I have such a broad set of interests that I can usually turn stories in interesting directions. As a player, I always worry that I'm second guessing my GM or worry that I'll lose immersion because of a flaw in their world building.
@miah it's almost like the early adopters are early adopters.  I do wonder if it means they are just covering bases or if they are looking for something the fediverse isn't giving them?
@peteramthor this is really cool!
@chloethecartographer oh this is cool! I've used Photoshop before but always hated having to work on a rectangular piece and then display it in 3d. I live this!
Ah crap, I left my toves out in the wabe and they’ve gone all slithy.
When even the folks that make dictionaries think you're a moron...
@Yora I'd love to hear what the "slight variants" look like to you? Genesys, PbtA (& Dungeon World), Iron Sworn, and the One Roll Engine are all quite different and enjoyable to me.
@Yora that's a sad state of affairs, but it does seem that your homebrew options are generally 5e or OSR or PF2 if you want players to find you! I love to see One Roll Engine homebrew, PbtA homebrew, and more!
