I'm loving rocking a purse so all my stuff doesn't bulge out my pockets, but I get that I have the option to choose.
Perhaps my "because" should have been because pockets are useful, and it's stupid to have them gendered with clothes.

highly principled invertebrate@pseudonym by 2030 I'll have things fixed up enough to just hold that anything I buy/newly get (beyond socks, shoes & gloves) that doesn't have pockets, I'll add them into said garment & all that have "decorative pockets" will also be changed to make them utilitarian. Beyond which I'll likely make myself at least one vest that's fully lined with pockets & strong loops for clipping things to it.
