Unpopular Writing Advice You're Actually Going to Hate:
Drafting > Revision
Rewrite it, loves. You'll hate it, but give it a try. Use separate windows or printed copies but you'll be far more likely to figure out why a writing piece isn't working when you draft it again.
I still feel something immeasurable was lost when software began to prioritize revision over drafting.
As always, use the advice that works for you and discard the advice that doesn't.

I’ve been trying so hard to write something today, but I’m a bit sick and my brain refuses to come up with any coherent thought whatsoever. I guess it’s time to call it a day and settle in with a nice cup of tea and a good book.
