This website is my absolute favorite to figure out why I'm feeling so bad right now.
For my fellow #ADHD / #ActuallyAutistic people out there:
Unfortunately I have to stop actively working on #Metatext for a while due to health issues. I really wish I could implement Mastodon 4 features and squash every bug, but it's not possible for me to do so right now.
I know the app has become important to a lot people, so I'm open to a new maintainer who can carry on its values of privacy and accessibility taking it over if there's interest and a fit. Email [email protected] if you (or your organization) are interested
I've read a little about how federated full-text search across instances is generally strongly opposed by many people and I totally understand why even though I don't feel strongly about it. But local search? Not sure.
(I don't worry about the added effort, I'm ok with handling ES, done it many times on way bigger scales.)
@selfawaresoup for Android users, would like to mention "Aggregator" as abuseful RSS feed app for people to try:
- Choice to show or hide read posts
- Sorting by time either direction
- Good include or exclude filtering system for RSS entry titles (matching can be wildcarded with '%' as '*')
No affiliation to the app, it's just been great having found a reliable reader again
