Unfortunately I have to stop actively working on #Metatext for a while due to health issues. I really wish I could implement Mastodon 4 features and squash every bug, but it's not possible for me to do so right now.

I know the app has become important to a lot people, so I'm open to a new maintainer who can carry on its values of privacy and accessibility taking it over if there's interest and a fit. Email [email protected] if you (or your organization) are interested

I know this must be disappointing to many of you, but there's lots to be excited about in the world of iOS clients right now: the official Mastodon app has a larger team now, @tootapp continues to be well worth the money (buy it if you haven't already), and @shadowfacts, @libei, and @tooot are all doing amazing work that you should check out if you haven't already

@metabolist @tootapp @shadowfacts @libei @tooot Sadly @tootapp does not work on M1 Macs, and has a lot of whitespace on iPad (plus, TBH, I would pay extra to disable every single animation - sorry, I like very plain, functional UX)

Would you consider adding maintainers and reviewing contributions to the code?

@metabolist I still can't get the official Mastodon app to allow me to post on iOS. It freezes up on the third line of text. I'll need to keep using Metatext. Thanks for all your previous work.
