@ironicbadger hi Alex. Following your git-crypt post, I think there is an error in the “git-crypt basics” section. Shouldn’t the command be “git-crypt init” not “git init”?

It’s all well and good for those in the US to take Meta to small claims when they don’t provide support, but what are those of us who live in the rest of the world supposed to do? I have lost my 14 year old account and all of its data, with no means of appeal. Now #AI companies say they should scrape our data for free.
It seems as though this decision wasn’t even made by a human, after sending through the image of my ID, they rejected it within 10 minutes.

Does anyone have a way to contact anybody at meta. I have an “og” instagram account that has been disabled. I suspect it’s been done because someone wanted the handle. I have no way to reactivate it, I submitted ID and got an email back telling me they’d rejected it and it was permanently deleted. Only reason given was “authentic identity”??

@stroughtonsmith @gruber do you have any ideas? Account registered on first day of Instagram, so it’s my first name and lots of people want the account. I can log in but it’s disabled and meta say I can’t appeal the decision 🥺

Even if it "seems like a pretty big coincidence" that several people you know who are also in their very late 80s are, in some form or fashion, dying.
Also, Dad's cancer was not caused by a boat accident in 1972.
