Here's a quick thread about moving to a new Mastodon server, because it's not exactly difficult but it's also not as easy as some people seem to suggest.
There are basically three stages to doing this.
First - finding a server to move to and creating an account.
Second - getting the lists of people you follow, block and mute transferred
Third - redirecting your old account to your new one and transferring your followers over.

Got our tree up (we always decorate at a latter) and I’ve watched 4 Hallmark xmas romances in the past 2 days.
Come Monday I’ll be ready to jump back into writing my xmas romance trilogy!
Side note: artificial trees in Germany are different.
The are skinny and less full. I went to 7 stores looking for the right tree. Had to get this one online and it was the best I could find.
They really like thin trees and don’t care if you can see the inside empty area so many look Charlie Brown-ish.
Germany is serious about Advent Calendars.
I've NEVER seen so many different kinds.
Tea, Coffee, dozens of kinds of alcohol, candy, snacks, international snacks, vegan, meat/sausage, cooking gear, beauty stuff, art stuff, games, escape games, books, cleaning stuff, toys, clothes, home goods, etc...
Lisa and I have gotten six so far and I think Lisa is getting another tomorrow. I'm going to try to NOT get anymore but I don't make any promises.

This was in September, so the snow buildup isn't dramatic, but it was still amazing to see and out of all the summit's I've been to so far in the Alps it's for sure one of my favorites in how other worldly and expansive it feels.
I'm thinking the Mastodon Social instance is not for me.
How do you pick the right instance ?
Like I write books, but I'm also a photographer, and I play board games. I'm also disabled. I'm not one thing. I'm lots of things.
Do I make multiple accounts in niche instances? Or how do I juggle being more than one thing when instances seem so niche focused?

Last March I was halfway through the 1st draft of book 2 in an xmas romance trilogy.
Then the move to Germany happened and it has been 6 months of chaos.
As of today, we are settled and all other drama is done. I can finally get back to writing... I'm just not sure where to start.
Do I reread book 1? Reread what I've written for book 2? Just dive into book 2? Start rewriting book 1? Start Book 3?
