@shawnp0wers @jvh @geerlingguy @lightweight Yeah, it's a difficult balance. Personally, I would prefer my server to defederate from Threads just because of the privacy practices, it's likely size a potential threat to the fediverse, etc

My social media research has been published by Elsevier in the journal *Computers and Geosciences*! This is my first published journal article, so I'm pretty excited about it.

It's entitled "Real-time social media sentiment analysis for rapid impact assessment of floods".

Hey, everyone! I'm now ready to announce that since January 2023 I've been part-time Experimental Officer in #computerscience @ University of Hull!

This is an academic position focused on teaching support, straddling the gap between academic and technician.
