Al fin y al cabo, una forma de mantener contacto entre los que estamos interesados en la cultura libre, la publicación en acceso abierto, el software libre, los datos abiertos, y todos estos jaleos. Eso sí, el café (o el té, o el vaso de agua, o lo que te apetezca) lo tienes que traer tú.

Aww no way. I was not a subscriber but some of the magazines that I have bought had some pretty memorable articles and I had a lot of fun learning and applying the things I've learned from them.
Sad to see them go tbh

Oh yeah, definitely. It meant GNU/Linux was reaching out to those people in the real world, the news stands, the local grocery stores, various communities up and down the country etc.
It was great to see it's impact on people too.
As the saying goes: 'Don't be sad it's over, be glad that it happened'
