Linux on IBM Z and LinuxONE Open Source Software Report: October 2025

There were a lot of fun things about #IBMTechXchange 2025 last week, but one of my favorites was our "Doom Takeover" at the Monday evening expo hall party. Instead of running our demos, I just had people logging into an IBM #LinuxONE #mainframe and playing Freedoom over VNC #Doom 😁

Working on documentation for a whole matrix of support (client vs. server OSes), stay tuned!

There are growing challenges in managing cryptographic assets while preparing for the emerging risks of quantum computing.
Pradeep, Parameshwaran, STSM , Chief Architect , #Security and Compliance on #IBMZ and #LinuxONE will talk on how we can provide a centralized approach to discovering, classifying, and managing cryptographic keys and #certificates across applications and systems, ensuring visibility and #compliance.
