libzpc - A Protected-Key Cryptographic Library
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/linux-on-systems?topic=library-libzpc-15
There is one enhancement in the libzpc 1.5 version:
libzpc 1.5 now reacts to a verification pattern mismatch caused by live guest relocation or migration by re-creating the protected keys from the key material it was derived from.
libzpc offers APIs to exploit the high performance of protected-key cryptography in the CPACF without the need to code assembler language. As protected keys are volatile, libzpc provides a mechanism to keep a protected key's effective key as a permanent secure key with the possibility to automatically derive a new protected key whenever required.
Mainframes power the enterprise.
But do you know who ensures they stay secure, optimized, and ready for modernization?
We’ve published an executive guide on the strategic role of the z/OS system programmer.
Inside:
• responsibilities
• performance management
• compliance
• hybrid integration

I just published the January report for open source software packages for Linux on #IBMZ and #LinuxONE 🐧
The team tested nearly two dozen projects, including doxygen, elastic Logstash, and PHP.
Elsewhere in the open source world, Apache Tika and WeKan began releasing s390x containers, and libdfp was on-boarded to our GitHub Actions service 🎉

How did we do at the end of 2025 as far as testing our current collection of open source software packages for Linux on #IBMZ and #LinuxONE?
It was a strong finish! The team worked on over two dozen packages, including cAdvisor, PostgreSQL, and SPIRE.

Here we are, the last report of the year from the #Linux on #IBMZ and #LinuxONE porting team and beyond 🚀
The list for November is an impressive one with nearly three dozen projects tested, including Apache Cassandra, fluentd, and neo4j
We also confirmed that the GnuCOBOL project has been on-boarded with our GitHub Actions service for s390x 🧑💻
The #s390x open source software team at IBM confirms the latest versions of various software packages run well on #Linux on #IBMZ & #LinuxONE 🐧
In October 2025 validation was maintained for two dozen projects, including #ApacheActiveMQ #InfluxDB & #Rails 🎉
We also on-boarded libdfp & qsv to our new hosted GitHub Actions runners, and saw Rarr add CI and VictoriaTraces begin releasing binaries 🎁

The Dev team neighboring my Org is looking for an OpenShift Hypervisor Developer. If you want to become a key member of a dynamic team, you will play a vital role in designing, developing and integrating new Core Virtualization features directly into Layered Products such as OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt and Kubernetes).
