Dear all

One for the #maker and maybe #3dprinting community: where can I get sheet metal laser cut, and optionally bent, drilled/tapped, and/or coated in Germany or Europe? Or is it still cheaper to do it from China?

I don't need a lot and I can make the 3D models without problems. I just need a reasonably priced and easy enough to work with supplier.

#retoot appreciated

Since an update to #Kubuntu 24.04 this morning, I have been unable to load any graphic files into any application - I've tried #GIMP, #Gwenview & DigiKam. Even Dolphin has issues. The only one that has worked is Krita.
GIMP error is:
Plug-in crashed: "file-png"
(/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gimp/3.0/plug-ins/file-png/file-png)

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.

Hey fellow makers of weird things, do you know if it's possible to coat 3D-printed TPU in silicone?

All I found is some mention that TPU plays nice with silicone's chemistry, it won't prevent it from curing or make it react weirdly. But is adhesion good? Did some of you already try it?

Thanks 💜
