I generally love Apple computers and iPhones and all that, but the one thing Apple is absolutely trash about is harassing you with overbearing security prompts anytime you want to install software or change settings.

I DON'T WORK AT THE NSA OR CIA! CHILL! JUST LET ME USE MY COMPUTER!

Today is #TransDayofRemembrance when we honor and remember trans lives taken by violence. How horrifying that a deadly attack upon the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs should occur right before this solemn day.
Hate isn’t born in us. It is taught. It must end.
This starts with our political leaders, who must cease their cynical attacks against our community before another attack occurs.
Call out the hate. Remind them of its consequences. Hold them to account.

Think I'm going to be moving back to a more Virginia-centric instance in the near future. Nothing against the "big three/four" of Mastodon but there's a real appeal in supporting the smaller instances and helping them grow; I didn't quite get that when I first came over here but I've seen a few smaller ones fold from lack of support and I don't want to contribute to that.

Low pressure just offshore and moving very slowly is going to keep cloud cover around today, which will keep a tight lid on temperatures; highs will struggle to reach 40. Sun returns tomorrow with highs in the upper 40s. #RVA #vawx

Really getting tired of consistently poor cell signal where I work (near Doswell) and heard that T-Mobile had pulled ahead of Verizon in coverage but wanted to verify before making a switch. Would love to hear from anyone using T-Mobile and what your experience has been.

Ran a test on my other account to see if I could link the RSS feed of Virginia Mercury to my account so it would post new articles here when they're published (via IFTTT) and it worked! So either tonight or tomorrow I'll set up a Virginia Mercury bot to at least give us some kind of local news source here!
