@mayhem @leckse @DeanC @pluralistic "Scheißifizierung" is the best one so far imho! 🤭
@acallegaro are they finally opening up? Still waiting for my registration here.
@SheDrivesMobility I will, because all the guy in the post needs is a tram or an u-bahn, or, hell, a decent bus.
@EUCommission
ban Meta from the EU then, please
I read a really nice article that explains why there is no #European #Google. https://ploum.net/2026-01-22-why-no-european-google.html
I knew a lot of really good #opensource projects where European but he added some more I did not know the #origin from.
Why there’s no European Google?

Why there’s no European Google? par Ploum - Lionel Dricot.

The best summary of Trump's trade "philosophy" comes from Trashfuture's November Kelly, who said that Trump is flipping over the table in a poker game that's rigged in his favor because he resents having to pretend to play the game at all.

@tante Du hast es halt noch nicht ganz durchschaut: du sollst dich nicht ums Kind kümmern, sondern hochwertiges Humankapital für unser großartiges Welthandelssystem bereitstellen :) /s

@JustinMac84 @prinlu @pluralistic I think it's worth to modify his take a bit. As an artist and producer myself, I can say that I am against artists becoming obscenely rich.

The democratisation of music is something I always loved to see, but let's make it possible for more artists to get paid that way, instead of the money going to the CEOs. More artists being paid fairly leads to a better music landscape, instead of everyone trying to please the algorithm with the same slop.

@Bowreality I see, thanks for your insight. After all, I just joined today 🙃 But so far, I think the local feed could be a great tool to utilise more, as the userbase grows. Sort of as an interest hub for people to connect, that is then also connected to the outside world.

Anyway, looking forward to see how it all develops. I have never been on Twitter myself, only observed it from the outside, but this is something I can see myself using more.

@Bowreality @dalcacer I think the friction lies in the context. Twitter is just "one app". Servers on Discord are highly interest based. The instances on Fedi are a bit more vague.

I think where the communication should improve is how your instance dictates your local feed, in that regard there is actually a slight similarity to Discord.

The only downside I see so far is that niche instances are still sparsely populated, which will change with higher adoption rates.
