@kwheaton thanks for sharing, though this guide does have some issues. It’s true to say there is no verification on mastodon (there’s no service that mastodon servers run to verify users) however there is rel=me support, which links users against external sites and provides that as evidence that people are who they claim to be.If this is your guide you might link against the official mastodon getting started too. https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2018/08/mastodon-quick-start-guide/
