Not at all shocking. We all know about fake news. But what about fake news that isn't made for human consumption, but rather for digestion solely by LLMs, and designed to influence how they represent the news to others? Newsguard had a report about it earlier this year, regarding a Russia-based news network.

@ben a cool idea but methodology so flawed it’s misleading unfortunately. The EU is supposed to be single market, right? It seems fair to count a German hosting provider as “sovereign” for the Netherlands. Conversely, German government services hosted on a US provider’s data center located in Germany should not, at all. It feels counterproductive even.
Gina HäußgeJust received an email from YouTube that they'll soon enable autodubbing on the OctoPrint channel for new and soon also old videos. Hell no, every time I run into this AI shit when watching YouTube I just want to scream, it's THAT bad.
Thankfully, there's a way to opt-out, and I just did that. And if you upload stuff to YouTube, for the love of all that is holy, PLEASE disable that too!
Uncheck Channel Settings > Upload defaults > Advanced Settings > Automatic dubbing
