This got me thinking about my first computer, a Mac LC. I pimped out with 10MB of memory and a 14.4k modem. I used to connect to a local, text-only free-net, which opened up a world of dreams. And, in hindsight, I got to live out those dreams. When the machine died, I salvaged the motherboard. It sits on my office bookshelf.
Looking forward to reading! Karissa and I crossed paths quite a bit while she worked on this. She’s does fantastic work for CBC and is a great voice and journalist for women’s hockey.
