My grandson is a freshman in college and adjusting to dorm life. He's still growing and "always hungry". I found a collapsible silicone microwave popcorn popper, which of course I had to try out before giving it to him, then buy one of my own,
Since then, we've made multiple batches of popcorn and my husband came up with a recipe I think is fabulous.
Ingredients:
Popcorn kernels, 1/4 cup
Anchovies packed in olive oil, 2 oz tin finely minced
4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
1/4 of olive oil
1/4 of ghee (or unsalted butter)
Instructions:
Microwave the popcorn; set aside.
Sauté the garlic in olive oil.
Add the anchovies.
Add the ghee or butter.
Stir constantly until the ghee or butter is melted.
If you have an immersion blender, touch it to the mixture.
Pour the mixture over the popcorn, stir and thoroughly mix.
Enjoy. Share with friends, but don't tell them about the anchovies. (Unless they're vegans, then that would just be mean.)
This is such a wonderful and caring idea.
I photograph and I wonder if I should share more on social media and start selling prints not sure if anyone would be interested or enjoy my work?

Back in January of 2020 @[email protected] and I took a vacation (which are far and few between) to Banff. We traveled in January because winter is our slow time. We were driving along the Bow River Parkway on our way to Morant's Curve when we heard a horn in the distance. We drove and hustled and somehow we made it to the famous curve just as this fright train rolled by.
