Christmas humidity and heat is ridiculous this year. It's hard to get to sleep in a sauna. We've had blackouts in the storms at night. A few suburbs over, power AND water was out for 3 days. And I'm trying to cut back on coffee. I want my money back. #australia #summer #BOM #rainMap

Not long ago it was a #kookaburra trying to land on me/fly into the house whenever the doors were opened… are we giving off Disney Princess vibes, or maybe it’s a #vegan power you unlock after ~20 years? Except they’re big baby Australian raptors, not songbirds/hummingbirds… hm. Better than it being spiders… maybe? That’d be interesting.

We are watching/co-parenting this baby #bird that left its nest in a very tall tree nearby about 5 days ago and can’t seem to fly back. This morning we moved it to a safer place/off the driveway to avoid squishing. The parent watching didn’t mind/swoop us and fed baby near us not long afterwards. Miraculously there are no outdoor cats around lately, but our cats enjoy the show from the windowsills. Silly baby needs to figure out flying and stop sitting in the middle of the yard yelling.
