@BethanyBlack bluesky people are looking for a systemic counter to fascism on a public level and that's a lot harder than spinning off new in groups assumed to be free of it.

Y'all
 no. The assumed, unexamined rectitude of the intersection of hegemony, militarism, white supremacy, Western Christianity, in the historical underpinnings of "AI" are PRECISELY where most of our present day problems with "AI" come from:

‘Judeo-Christian’ roots will ensure U.S. military AI is used ethically, general says

A U.S. Air Force general said Thursday the Pentagon's artificial intelligence ethics are better than adversaries' because « our society is a Judeo-Christian society. »

Currently selling these earrings that I've made with 925 silver hooks, to support a refugee family located in Greece. I have a number of pairs already made up, but alternatively, can make them in 74 different colours, 3 shapes (circle, triangle, square), & 2 sizes (40mm & 30mm). They come packaged in cardboard envelopes that can be re-used or recycled.
I also take orders for larger pieces, like the shawl pictured (not for sale- only shown for example).

@diffractie @pisscotheque externalisation and rationalisation and narrativisation are how our brains work. But a lot of us really like the story where we are perfectly rational and logical and objective and bad things only ever happen because of Bad People who aren't like us.

I feel like a lot of what makes me different and odd is that I really had to consciously make the decision to live.

I didn't have that instinct naturally I had the other one. I had to actively build a new worldview that would allow for my survival. And it's nothing like Normal. But I think it's pretty awesome.

Self worship and self hatred are both so dangerous and toxic, yet in this binary society they keep getting pushed as the only options.

There is a space in between. But finding it means making peace with uncertainty and subjectivity and not knowing everything and that can be really hard.

@catherinebuca absolutely thank you
When I would try and explain how I felt and why I was sad people would always try and reassure me that I was Smart and Rational and Good and that meant I didn't really have anything to worry about. I understand now why that was so frustrating and upsetting for me now. It is an incredibly toxic attitude that's unfortunately also completely Normal.
