Minimalist who doesn't post much.

Why some prominent US tech journalists have such a hard time recognising #Mastodon & the concept it is based on as the next step in advancement seems to stem from something deeply rooted in US culture, something #SiliconValley is built on: #Tech Hero Worship. They need someone to idolise, a captain at the helm, a saviour. They need & want a #SteveJobs, a Page, #Bezos, and follow & enable the next best: #ElonMusk, #ElizabethHolmes, #SBF, the list is endless.

You can't interview a Github repo.

I Was Wrong About Mastodon – EscapingTech

I said that Mastodon moderation wouldn't scale, it does. The cultural differences will likely continue to maintain a friendlier atmosphere regardless of size.

If you enjoy someone's post on #Mastodon go ahead and click the star. If someone tells you that's meaningless because there's no #algorithm, ignore them. Sure, boost the post too if you want others to also see the post, but don't think telling someone you like what they posted is somehow unimportant. In real life I don't tell someone, "good job," or "well said," or "I love that," for the sake of some algorithm, I do it because I'm human and they are too. It's fundamental to being truly social.
