Sometimes just being there is all that's needed - whether your friend is stressed by joining Mastodon, or other larger issues.

First snowfall of the year. It may stick around for a few days. I already have my snow tires on.

Days keep getting shorter, and the position of sunrise keeps sliding to the south. This was June 19, just before the Solstice. 5:19am. I'll try to grab another one Dec 21, if I can see far enough south from my balcony.
