Today at FAFO: hitting rocks (in this case pyrite) with a hammer and then putting it under a SEM.

and since the last optics breadboard was so much fun, i thought: let's double the size!

at least i am getting pretty decent at eyeballing perpendicularity. and i will put "experienced M6 thread cutter" on my resume once i am done

After a year of work and crazy amount of help from a bunch of cool peoples my vacuum chamber is finally "finished". Its almost fully assembled but I have no idea it its air tight. Lets see how many round trips back to the workshop it will take before its really done. (Blahaj for scale)
