All the chat about the Prime Video thing, then "serverless bad", "microservices bad", "monolith good", ... 🤡
It's not a matter of one being bad and the other good. All are valid approaches, be it a monolith, a microservice or something in between, depends on each situation.
@jxself in addition to polluting open source by corporate entities, all we see these days are libraries, hobby projects and development tools that are open source. Apps are turned to subscription services locked behind a server or they contain enough telemetry to profile every user action.
I sometime think open source was only picked up by corporates like msft to offload customer service to the end-user.
