I've posted this before, I think, but my best friend taught me that, when you're wondering whether to say it, you should ask yourself if it's any TWO of True, Helpful, and Kind. Sometimes you have to say the unkind thing because it's true and helpful. (And sometimes you have to hype someone up even if it's not technically true. And ALWAYS be true and kind, even if it's not particularly helpful.) But if it's not going to help, if it would only be true, why be unkind?
@mimir Lego bricks, you say?

cop: do you know why I pulled you over?

me: did I break the law?

cop: yes—

me: so then it’s not working

cop: what?

me: you can’t charge me under a broken law. looks like you’re gonna have to let me go

cop:

me: *pulling away* hope you get it fixed

The way folks oversimplify takeaways is just... 🤦‍♂️
All the chat about the Prime Video thing, then "serverless bad", "microservices bad", "monolith good", ... 🤡

It's not a matter of one being bad and the other good. All are valid approaches, be it a monolith, a microservice or something in between, depends on each situation.

To meet corporate sustainability goals, I have disabled garbage collection for all applications.

Developers will now have to reduce, reuse, and recycle memory.

I'm not all that into writing posts.
And I have to think for a good minute before I reply on one.
Mostly due to the fact that I was using social addiction services in read only mode, perhaps that has contributed to me keeping opinions to myself. In addition to this if I were to reply to something, I'd usually see someone do it way before I got there.
I'm very allergic to trend politics so the likes of Twitter/reddit never found my attention. I don't know the point of this post lmao
