Local authorities in Gaza said Monday that over the past two days, more than 320 Palestinians were admitted for hospital care across the enclave with severe burns due to "internationally-prohibited weapons" used by the Israeli army.
The arms were mainly US-made, known as chemical or thermal weapons, and "are internationally prohibited from being used against humans," Gaza's government media office said in a statement.

One of the classic mechanics of totalitarianism is that protecting the safety of the leader becomes a justification for violence against large swathes of the population.
As centrists join the far right in paving the way for totalitarian rule under Trump, we have to organize to defend our communities. If you have been in denial about the challenges ahead of us, this should be a wake-up call to find each other and prepare for them.
Just think, were Trump Palestinian, the US government would have armed the gunman itself and called anyone opposing the assassination attempt antisemitic.

Students from the University of Leicester's Palestine Society protested on Saturday against the university’s invitation of Israeli Supreme Court Justice Ruth Ronnen to the Global South Network event scheduled at the university on 25 August.
Ronnen is one of 15 justices in Israel’s Supreme Court and has been involved in several rulings that entrench the illegal occupation of Palestinian land, as well as human rights violations against Palestinians.
