So, I did it again. I trusted Netflix and started watching The OA naively, thinking they'd wrap up the storyline in 2 seasons. I'm about halfway through season 2, and I'm realizing there's no way they can wrap it up by the end. Jerks canceled it after two despite their being a robust fan base. And with good reason. Cats are victims of their own resilience. Scrappy and independent enough to be able to eke out an existence with little or no human intervention doesn't mean they should have to or wouldn't prefer otherwise. I cringe when I hear dismissal akin to them being "just a cat". It displays a profound misunderstanding of this sensitive and adaptive being.
