@avirr Not really. It’s a pretty uncommon target for malware because of the install base, sandboxing, and permissions, so as long as you’re smart about what you download and give permissions to, you’ll be fine. If you do want one, CleanMyMacX is the go-to, which is worth having anyway to clean up messy apps that store files in weird places instead of the proper .app

@marxist @marioguzman @MonaApp I think Mona and Ivory are different in ways that make it possible for Mona to push updates faster. Both are good, but Ivory seems to spend a lot more time trying to perfect a specific experience, whereas Mona has a much more general and flexible UI and can focus more on adding features quickly. Neither is better than the other, just different approaches. All that is to say, I don’t think the “more updates = better devs” thing is a fair comparison.

@Peternimmo Are you trying to click to their profile, or trying to see a list of who boosted the post? If it’s the latter, it could be related to federation. Sometimes you can’t see lists like that through federation.
For example, if you try to see someone’s following list, you only see the ones on the same instance as you. You have to go to their instance to see the full list.

speaking of Homestuck/godfeels, I was gonna read Homestuck just because I want to read godfeels but at this point that feels like it’ll be a Whole Thing. If I read this summary thing (https://rafe.name/homestuck/) and the abridged epilogues you link on AO3, do you think I’ll be good to read godfeels? Or is it really worth it to read all of Homestuck first

@shoq @andypiper I was thinking the same thing. The whole “What’s Wrong With the Cyber Resilience Act?” section just reiterates that it’s bad for FOSS. And the one time they mention that they’ve written an explainer about it, they don’t even link to it. Not great reporting!
