Someone posted this… but

Chill the F out.

It’s literally 3 people who make this app.

They completed a 1.0 super fast and came out a solid product. Then! THEN they made a Mac Catalyst app.

3 people. Three.

@marioguzman For the relatively high subscription price I‘d expect more frequent updates, too. I’m just glad I decided against Ivory and went with @MonaApp Only one time pay AND frequent updates.

@marxist After they released it, they worked on the Mac app. And I’ll stress it again, it’s 3 people.

Continuous Development is more than a pay once sort of thing these days. They have expenses too on top of needing to make a living.

Paying less than $5 once and demanding indefinite and frequent updates is pretty insane.

But I hope you like your Mona app.

@marioguzman I think I paid like 18 Euros and I’m more then glad to pay that again in 1-2 years. I’m just not a fan of software subscription.
Especially when @MonaApp one man team delivers 8 updates in the last two month (AND there is a Mac app, too).
@marxist @marioguzman @MonaApp I think Mona and Ivory are different in ways that make it possible for Mona to push updates faster. Both are good, but Ivory seems to spend a lot more time trying to perfect a specific experience, whereas Mona has a much more general and flexible UI and can focus more on adding features quickly. Neither is better than the other, just different approaches. All that is to say, I don’t think the “more updates = better devs” thing is a fair comparison.
@presbyterian @marioguzman @MonaApp It wasn’t meant as a comparison. I wanted to point out that the „only 3 devs“ argument is not really a strong one.
