Hi! I'm a nerdy library worker. I love many kinds of storytelling, including videogames and TTRPGs. I'm trying to photograph all the birds in this city with limited success. I have successfully installed Linux on a computer. Science is cool and capitalism ruins everything. Trains and busses are cool. If there's a fire in the theater tonight, the exits are to the left. @hellomiakoda I do this. It's hard to fully understand something until I've had a good chunk of time to think about it. So there's the initial reaction and then the delayed reaction. Often, the delayed reaction is less extreme, but it can go the other way.
@hellomiakoda I've fantasized about something like this SO much. In my head, it always ends up becoming some kind of certification that any company can put on their product if they can prove it's durable/repairable/ethical/whatever. I want something like that to be real!

I stumbled across this picture book while shelving at work a few days ago. I had to share it!

Cecilia has two jobs. One job is to be a child. The other job is to accompany her parents around town and interpret for them. It’s an important job, but Cecilia is so tired! There are many children like Cecilia in the world. Their work needs to be recognized, so I’m grateful that books like this exist. But also, society can do better!

@ClareBear Wow! This looks incredible! I love to see a city invest so much in its library!
