Mi ankaŭ ĝojas kaj legi kaj skribi esperanton.

My avatar is the costume/makeup shot from a production of Ken Ludwig's *Baskerville*.

My display name is Volapük encoding (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Informal_romanizations_of_Cyrillic#Volapuk_encoding) for *Skazka*, which is Russian for a folk tale or fairy story.

Glass bracelets and beads found in the oppidum (#Celtic settlement) at Manching. Manching was a centre of Celtic glass industry. It was specialized on the production of seamless colourful glass bracelets from ca. 260 - 40 BC. The raw glass was imported from the eastern Mediterranean region, the colourants were added by the local craftsmen. To produce the seamless bracelets a glass bead was made and gradually enlarged with a metal rod and a cone.

Hex Crawl through the Old Northwest

Me: Shadowrun characters aren’t that hard to make, now I just need to buy equipment.

One spreadsheet later…

Me: Okay, I’ve spent 21,500¥ on eyes…

A&M's actions are transparently antidemocratic and anti-intellectual. Whether from political loyalty or simple cowardice, these admins have tarnished A&M's credibility. The only way for the university to save face would be to force out everyone who acquiesced to this act of academic harassment.

Even if she accused Patrick of culpability for thousands of opiate-related deaths, A&M's actions would still not be justified. Patrick's remedy in that case would be to sue her for slander.

A Texas A&M University professor gave a guest lecture on the opioid crisis at the Univ of Tx Medical Branch. She was accused of saying something critical of Tx Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, suspended, and investigated.

The faculty of every university in the country should demand that their chancellors write a formal condemnation of the actions of A&M's administrators. Those who refuse should never know a moment's public or professional peace for as long as they hold their office.
Faculty members from across the country dismayed over investigation of Texas A&M professor

The Academic Freedom Alliance has sent Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp a letter, expressing concern over the suspension and investigation into a professor for comments she made as a guest lecturer in a college class.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the number of pages in the indictment is…45.

Oh, no! That sounds terrible. Fun can be a fragile thing. Just getting told to move behind the tents would probably have sucked most of the fun out if it had been me, but to then have it shrink my audience would have killed it for sure.

Now I'm doubly sorry I wasn't there.

What‽ We usually go to the farmers' market on Saturdays, and we almost went today, but we decided to go to Fuel coffee on Main, instead.

Oh, cruel novelty!

Gratulojn al via filo kaj al lia familio!
