"Winter in Kerteminde", c. 1930-1934. #Painting by American artist William H. Johnson (1901-1970).

Johnson, one of the artists of the Harlem Renaissance, married #Danish textile artist Holcha Krake (1885-1944) in 1930. They lived in Norway for a while before moving to New York in 1938. As the title indicates, this painting was made in #Kerteminde, #Denmark.
