@chris one interesting thing about tbe foss community is that, since a lot of work is voluntary, we tend to mostly work on things that are really useful and well optimized or cheap to have fun with it. So far, ai faces a utility crisis, so it's only natural that the foss community hasn't been playing much with it, especially given the high hardware demand.

Brazil has released its first major climate‑mitigation update since 2008, outlining goals through 2035.

@chris one interesting thing about those charts is that they show that it isn't just the billionaires polluting, like the public opinion has shifted to think these days. Middle class (or the consumer class) has a significant impact as well.
