My latest gadget! It's a thermometer that shows inside and outside temperatures as expected, BUT it sources and averages the values from several ZigBee thermometers in my home through Home Assistant.
It uses an ESP32 and an e-ink screen. Updates are periodical, so in-between updates the thing barely uses any power. Portrait and landscape orientations available!
I finally got around to making a proper wooden box for my arcade controller! I didn't touch the electronics, but tweaked the button layout and corrected the cable orientation 😅
Despite the look of the edges it's actually pretty comfortable. I'm not a fan of the bare compressed wood look, but decorating it is gonna wait for another time
I love how hefty and solid it turned out, and it's just as nice to use on a lap or on a table
I made some card holders out of recovered palette wood. They make it easier for tiny hands to play card games. My kid loves them!
Yesterday I made a magic wand for my son! I've been telling him Harry Potter, so he was very happy with it, which made me very happy with it too! I rather like the result, I had never carved wood before
