Every year my son and I make cranberry sauce and decorate it with some design or phrase cut out of orange slices. My son speaks Mandarin, so for years we would write "gratitude" or "thanks" in Chinese characters or something that marked the year for us. This year, he wasn't home in time to do the decorating with me. I had to think about it for awhile, but when it came to me I knew it was right. Hope you can tell what it is.
