Having bought Trump the presidency, Musk is taking control of computer systems that contain the personal data of millions of federal employees, preventing oversight by agency officials. Seems like a problem.
Josh Marshall points out that there are laws about private citizens acting with the authority of government employees. Courts can enforce those laws. Someone needs to sue.

I just learned from Reuters & it was confirmed by Sen Wyden that Elon Musk & his NON-FEDERAL employees have taken control of the federal payment system, which means they can stop checks to any private individual in the country including my Medicare & social security payments.
