2/ What about women and men by political affiliation?
This is extremely valuable information because it's strong circumstantial evidence of branch stacking inside the Greens.
We shouldn't see so many (or frankly any) transphobic councillors with numbers like these.
State and territory polling is less positive on the question "Are there more than two genders?"
Queensland and the NT have slight pluralities against. Vic and the ACT are majorities in favour. The rest have pluralities in favour.
Gender Self-ID on the other hand shows clear majorities in every single State and Territory. NT is particularly interesting given the sharp differences on polling.
Let's take a look at the rural urban divide or lack thereof. Although we do see a shift as we get further from the city there's a MUCH greater divide between men and women over these issues. We've got to stop talking about the country as if they are backwards hicks.
Self-ID. Majorities in favour regardless of so called rural urban divides. Women continue to show stronger support but plurality of rural men support. This is further circumstantial evidence of green branch stacking given transphobic greens councillors are in the inner city.
So what about feminists? Let's use support for abortion and support for "traditional" family values as a proxy.
Predictably we see that values aligned with feminism, such as opposition to "traditional values" and support for abortion strongly correlate with support for trans rights.
