@gruber For the same space and weight reasons they have always claimed. I think they could have made it for the same price with all the glue and such they normally use. Maybe it would have even been lighter. Those processes as very efficient after all. So maybe there’s a better reason to make it repairable. At $450 or whatever for the 2 year old model they could put one in the hands of many of America’s Elementry school kids. Bought and paid for by school districts and state programs.
@daringfireball I think claiming that MacBook Neo repair-ability is a side effect of its assembly process is incorrect. I think the ease of fixing is very much on purpose because I think Apple is prepping to go after that sent state sponsored school Chromebook money.
Anyone know of a Kansas-based trans advocacy group to donate to?

I revamped the /r/ruby's "hiring" recurring post. Companies, please post following the template. Please re-share for visibility.

@catsalad You can literally take your pick.
@Gargron We all already know where you live bro. The giant gold Mastadon statue is a dead give away.

"In 1999, I interviewed Prince for TIME and he told me to leave my tape recorder off because he didn’t trust what future technology might do with unauthorized recordings of his voice.

At the time, I thought Prince was being paranoid ... I realize now that Prince wasn’t paranoid, he was prescient."

@uncleslacky @aebrockwell @_the_cloud @pluralistic I like the one near me that says “Beware Deaf Child”. Not children. Just the one kid and his or her personal street sign
