@rbreich the "not being able to afford it" part never was an issue...

But as a former Secretary of Labor you surely know that one.

The far more interesting point is, why where you not keen/able to fix it when in office?

@cobratbq I agree that in a world with a multitude of sources and players, it can be hard for some to differentiate between data and opinion.

I disagree with that this post is "shaming" anyone.

Leider habe ich die Überschrift wohl nicht #seo suchmaschinenoptimiert formuliert, so dass der Artikel auf #Google ziemlich versteckt ist (Danke an @cinux für den Hinweis). Aus diesem Anlass habe ich hier noch mal eine kleine fedi-interne "Umfrage" gestartet zur Nutzung von #Suchmaschinen. Trotz zahlreicher Alternativen ist Google aber außerhalb des #Fediverse weiterhin unangefochten mit einem Marktanteil von ca. 90% in Dtld

Es muss nicht Google Forms sein - Online-Befragungen DSGVO-konform und Open Source

Es gibt viele Tools, um Online-Befragungen durchzuführen, sowohl für kleine einfache Umfragen, als auch für komplexere Befragungen im wissenschaftlichen Rahmen. Einige davon wie Cryptpad Forms und LimeSurvey sind auch Open Source - Ein Überblick.

@runedancetwo Hi. No, I actually haven't really followed this project so far. Currently, I am unfortunately very busy at work and often do not succeed in responding to everyone. But after work I like to read through the Fediverse and follow interesting personalities, on the one hand to see what's going on in OpenScience, FOSS and related topics, but also to see how the Fediverse is developing.
